M + G Wedding in Morschach. Switzerland
I was very lucky to shoot this beautiful couple for their engagement. A young and dynamic, creative and funny couple with whom I got maximum pleasure working.
They proposed a location, which was actually perfect for this time of the year. Brilliant colours made the background look just amazingly golden. The weather was cloudy and rainy during the whole week. But that day was just as ordered. Perfectly sunny, and we were even lucky to get beautiful sunset images.
You would have to go through this to understand.
It´s a confusing time when you ask yourself many questions. Sometimes you don´t find any answers. Some of them you find out after the birth.
You have a little human inside you yet you build a relationship with this little human blindly. Without knowing what he/she looks like. Without knowing how his/her voice sounds. Without knowing what his/her smile looks like. You imagine endlessly & you become very impatient.
This was a beautiful photo shooting of me soon-becoming-a-mother.
I usually take materials for the photo shooting with me. This time, it was quite spontaneous and I did not manage to reassemble all my belongings for the case of cases... Though I took with me some blankets, hats for the baby and some other accessories for the case. Since it was the family´s second child, and they liked to travel and had many hobbies, I found quite beautiful elements at their place, which I could use for the composition (like wooden alphabet blocks (from his sibling), Swiss style watch (since they live in Switzerland), flowers (which were there that day, probably a present for the mother) hobby elements like golf balls & kettle-bell. I also used their blankets under the baby to make him more comfortable and to have some background to emphasise the baby in the picture.
I think if I had used what I had brought that day with me, it would not have been so special because, I wanted to create something individual for the family. Something with meaning for them. All those elements in the picture (except meter) belong to the family.
When they grow older and one day look back at this picture, they can embrace their memories about this precious moment with some special details, which would let them travel in time and bring back wonderful memories. I hope so!

Our little son Louis was born! We are so excited and happy!
Meet one of my first baby customers, Mauro.
At the time I shot him he was approx. 1-month-old, absolutely cute (and still is) baby-boy, half Italian half Swiss.
At that age, babies tend to be smiling rarely and are hard to capture in a good pose. But Mauro was one of the bravest & cutest babies I have ever seen and he coped with the photo shoot like a little professional ;) He had so much patience and calmness inside.
Feedback from his Mum:
Lili gab mir von anfang an das gefühl das ich und mauro uns wohlfühlen können und alle zeit der welt haben und hat auch oft nachgefragt ob wir mit den jeweiligen fotos einverstanden sind. Lili hatte viele kreative ideen die sie super umsetzte. Die ganze aufmerksamkeit hat er sehr genossen und hat sich trotz ein paar kleinen pipipannen nackig pudelwohl gefühlt. Spilerisch konnte man ihm sogar ein kleines lächen entlocken.
I love photographing people. Honest people. Capturing Portraits sounds like a piece of cake, but more often than not it's more difficult than shooting animals, architecture or landscape. People are the most complex creatures on earth and i believe that a good Portrait reflects inner world of an individual and shows the character and emotions of a person. For me Portrait photography is a medium of discovering inner worlds. Characters. Visions. Lifestyles. Stories.
